Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only method approved by the FDA for permanent removal of unwanted hair. Invented in 1875, by Dr. Charles Michel, electrolysis still remains the Gold standard. A small electric current is transmitted by a fine, sterile probe directly into the natural opening of the hair follicle, destroying the dermal papilla, the matrix, and an area called "the bulge", all of which cause hair to grow and regenerate.
Electrolysis
We use state-of-the-art equipment, which is efficient, rapid and very comfortable. Electrolysis is effective for all skin types, hair types, skin colors, hair colors, and areas of the body.
Sessions are in 15-minute increments with a minimum session time of 15 minutes at $60.

What do you get with the hair removal session?
- A complimentary consultation is always offered whether you’ve had electrolysis treatment before or not. The consultation is very thorough, especially for those seeking electrolysis for the first time as I want everyone to be well-educated so they can make an informed decision on if electrolysis is for them or not. Surprisingly, even though one has had electrolysis before when I have finished the consultation the client is happily brushed up on topics they had forgotten and may also learn something new.
- The personal and confidential consultation is also an interview process for the potential client and myself to decide if we would like to work together. Electrolysis is a commitment and a very intimate working relationship.
- During the consultation, we will talk about the art and history of electrolysis, and infection prevention standards I follow as part of my commitment to the protection of myself, the practitioner, and the public. We will discuss stages of hair growth, and the factor and/or factors that may have contributed to unwanted hair growth. Also discussed in great detail is the best at-home method to temporarily maintain unwanted hair (whether going forward with electrolysis or not).
- We will cover pre-treatment client protocol, which is done before coming into the office (such as no strenuous activities before treatment, good hydration, and depending on the type of hair and area to be treated, may also include steaming before treatment).
- We will discuss the pre-treatment skin prep I complete in the treatment room (cleansing the skin) and what you may or may not feel during treatment.
- Post-treatment skin care will also be discussed. This is a process completed in the treatment room using a toner to restore your pH balance and a regenerating cream that has antiseptic properties. We will discuss post-treatment client protocol for the 48-hour healing period after treatment (such as not touching and keeping the area clean and using SPF).
- The area the client would like to treat will be assessed and it will be discussed if the area can be cleared in the first session. I will also design a treatment plan that addresses specific hair removal needs. If it’s decided during the assessment the potential client is a candidate, and they choose to go forward with treatment the same day, either a 15 or 30-minute session (at most) can be done.

Skin Lesions
Removal of most benign skin lesions without any scarring using electrolysis. A skin lesion is a patch of skin that differs from the surrounding skin; for example, this might be a skin tag.
Treatments start at $125.
What do you get with a skin lesions session?
- I can remove most benign skin lesions without any scarring using electrolysis. I simply require you have been evaluated by a dermatologist in the 12 months prior to your appointment and there has been no change to your skin since you were seen.
- A complimentary consultation is available to assess the area to be treated, see if you would benefit from removal with electrolysis, and in most cases, an at-home product is available to prepare the area so when you return at a future date, the removal is essentially flawless. The removal itself is very comfortable and most feel no discomfort.
